Corporate HQ
Corporate HQ
Your Corporate Headquarters (Office) houses specialized upper management teams across six key departments. Hiring and training these executive staff members unlocks powerful passive efficiency bonuses, cost reductions, and penalty mitigations across your entire corporate network.
1. Hiring, Firing & Employment Contracts (24h Cooldown)
Managing upper management involves active employment decisions, hourly payroll costs, and contractual commitments:
- Hiring a Team: Hiring a department team immediately activates its passive bonus. Hourly wage costs begin accruing every turn while the team is hired.
- 24-Hour Mandatory Contract Lock: When you hire a department team, you enter a mandatory 24-hour employment contract. The staff cannot be fired until 24 hours have elapsed from the exact moment of hiring. A live countdown timer shows when firing becomes available.
- Firing Staff: Once the 24-hour contract lock expires, you may fire the team at any time. Firing deactivates the department's passive bonuses and halts hourly wage payments. All achieved training levels are retained permanently, allowing you to re-hire the team later without losing progress.
- Department Reset (Danger Zone): Resetting a department permanently wipes its level back to Level 0. Spent Cash training fees are non-refundable.
2. Staff Training & Progression Mechanics
Upper management staff members can be enrolled in specialized training seminars to increase their department level and boost passive bonuses:
- Training Requirements: Commencing a training seminar costs Corporate Cash.
- Exponential Cost & Time Scaling: Training costs and seminar durations scale with every level reached:
- Cash Fee:
BaseMoney × 2.5Level - Training Duration:
BaseTime × 2.2Level— capped at a maximum of 72 hours (3 days).
- Cash Fee:
- 15-Minute Free Completion Skip: When a training seminar has 15 minutes (900 seconds) or less remaining, a "Finish Training" button becomes active, allowing you to instantly complete the training for free.
- Staff Training Boost (12 Hours): Activating the Staff Training Boost (available in the Coins Shop) halves all active training durations for 12 hours.
- Wage Cost Considerations: Executive salaries follow a progressive exponential curve — doubling from Level 1 to Level 5, then growing at ×1.4 per level beyond Level 5. Always calculate whether the passive savings outpace the higher payroll before starting training!

Executive salaries follow a progressive exponential curve using each department's base hourly rate (employeeCost):
- Level 1–5: Salary doubles every level —
BaseCost × 2(L−1) - Level 6–10: Salary scales at ×1.4 per level —
BaseCost × 16 × 1.4(L−5) - Early Game Context (~€1M Net Worth): A single Level 1 executive costs ~€12,000/day. Hiring 2–3 departments simultaneously consumes most of a startup's daily cash flow — prioritize carefully.
- Conglomerate EXEC Boost: Completing the Executive Summit alliance mission grants all members a -10% executive salary discount for 5 days.
